34 Weeks

How far along? 34 weeks
Maternity clothes? Whatever I can squeeze in to at the moment.
Sleep: Whenever I can get it, which doesn't seem to be enough this week.
Best moment this week: We had a really nice weekend.  Ben was super productive (which is awesome!) and then we had a great family day at the zoo, the boys napped and we got to go to Ben's Aunt and Uncles for some pool time and dinner :)
Miss Anything? NOT sweating.  I pretty much just sit in front of a fan whenever I can (and yes we have our A/C on too!)
Movement: Lots and Lots
Food cravings: Anything bad for me
Belly Button in or out? Oh it's out there - which it hasn't done with the other two pregnancies :(
Wedding rings on or off? Off, they are wayyyyy to hard to get off.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Hopefully happy ;)
Looking forward to: Putting baseboard in the nursery this weekend (hopefully!) so we can start arranging it and figuring out which clothes I need to get washed up in case baby #3 is a boy :)

Zoo Adventure

Last weekend I checked the weather and saw no rain in the forecast until 4pm.  So I thought, perfect we can go to the zoo in the morning and come back before the rain.  We tell the boys the plan, get ready and make it to the highway and the dark gray clouds roll on in.  We quickly turn around to go grab rain jackets and continue on our way to the zoo.  It started out pretty wet, but we had a good morning, AND it wasn't too crowded! We got to see some good animals, ride the train and carousel :)

Lucas wanted to ride the tiger!
Adam wanted to ride the "deer" :)

33 Weeks

How far along? 33 weeks
Maternity clothes? of course, pretty much a give in.
Sleep: starting to get uncomfortable again.  This heat sure isn't helping.
Best moment this week: We had a couple of really fun days at the pool swimming.  Once at Auntie K's pool and once with our cousins.  The boys had a great time.
Miss Anything? Being able to do lots of things without feeling so tired or sore.
Movement: Lots and Lots
Food cravings: ICE CREAM, but I really love ice cream all the time so I'm pretty sure being pregnant is a valid excuse to eat a ton of it.
Belly Button in or out? Oh it's out there - which it hasn't done with the other two pregnancies :(
Wedding rings on or off? Off, they are wayyyyy to hard to get off.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Hopefully happy ;)
Looking forward to: Enjoying the rest of summer.  We don't have too many plans (even though I am sure that will change).  So it will be nice to just be at home and spend time with the boys and hopefully get everything ready for baby #3!

End of Swim Lesson Season

The So back to the pool we went for 2 more weeks of swim lessons.  Of course Lucas was upset again because there was another teacher change.  This time he had Mr. Jesse.  But just like last time every time he got in the pool he had a blast.  His swimming really improved this time even though we missed some days due to pesky July thunderstorms.  He said his favorite part was swimming on the noodle.

swimming on the noodle

Adam kinda likes swim lessons because he gets a "bonus" snack of the day.  Here he is a little upset though because he ate all of his raisins and only had almonds left...... Man what a tough life.

More diving board time.  Again, I didn't think he would do it, but he did!

Mr. Jesse kind of threw him a little bit.  He said he like "flying"

And that's a wrap! See you again next summer (HOPEFULLY!) swim lessons!

32 and Counting

How far along? 32 weeks
Maternity clothes? of course
Sleep: better, but I'm pretty tired all the time.
Best moment this week: Just surviving was the best part.  It was a really rough week.  Lucas was in rare form all week and his behavior was not good at all and Adam decided to take his clothes/diaper off any chance he could get.  (Needless to say he is back to wearing onesies now!)
Miss Anything? Cold weather!!! This heat is unreal and it's just supposed to get hotter :(
Movement: Lots and Lots
Food cravings: ICE CREAM!
Belly Button in or out? Oh it's out there - which it hasn't done with the other two pregnancies :(
Wedding rings on or off? Off, they are wayyyyy to hard to get off.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Hopefully happy ;)
Looking forward to: Maybe actually agreeing on a name?? HAHA Poor Adam was namless for a little bit, looks like this baby might be too.

Canoe Trip!

Last Sunday we were able to go canoeing for the first time with Lucas! Every year Ben's extended family does a canoe trip in IN as part of their reunion weekend.  Well this year Mother Nature pounded us with some rain right before the trip and made the usual river too high and dangerous.  When we told Lucas that we might not be able to go he was devastated.  He had been looking forward to it for months.  Luckily we were able to find part of another river that had went down and was calmer and everyone was able to go there! And thanks to my parents for watching Adam for the day!

This guy had the best time! It was a long day and I would not recommend the 8 mile trek for any pregnant ladies out there, but I survived!

How far along? 3 weeks
Maternity clothes? of course
Sleep: better, but I'm pretty tired all the time.

Miss Anything? Nothing really this week.
Looking forward to: Getting things in order for baby! Can't believe how close it is getting.

4th of July

We had a long but busy 4th of July weekend this year.  Filled with birthday celebrations, work days at our house/play dates with our cousins and of course fireworks!  The boys had a lot of fun,  but 2 late nights in a row (3rd and 4th) took quite the toll on them come Wednesday when it was time for Ben to go back to work :(  Hopefully the next couple of weeks looks pretty calm in our schedule (at least for now, right?!) so they can get back to a better routine!

Playing the piano at Uncle Robert and Aunt Roseanna's

Sparkler time!

Uncle Tim likes sparklers too :)

Best shot at a family picture!

On the 4th we just spent the day at home hanging out with the boys.  It doesn't looked like they cared :)

Swim Lessons

Last year Lucas loved loved loved swim lessons.  This year, was a little bit of a struggle.  I think the main reason was that he had it in his head that he was going to get his same teacher from last year who he loved.  I had tried telling him all summer long leading up to lessons that he probably wouldn't get Miss Maya again and that it would all be OK.  Of course I don't know how many of you have ever tried to reason with a 4 year old - because it's not easy!  So the first day, there were some tears because Miss Maya didn't work at the pool anymore.  Everyday he was fine once he got into the water, but it was a struggle.  He also had developed a strong fear for the diving board.  I knew that the last day of lessons was normally diving board day (because it's the "fun" thing!).  Ben and I had told him the entire time that he didn't have to go off it if he didn't want to.  But on the last day he surprised me and just got in line -- no tears! He didn't quite jump, but he let his teacher drop him in!  I was so proud of him.  And he decided he wanted to do more lessons, so looks like we will be back at the pool next week!

Weekend Getaway

A little late, but Ben wanted a weekend away for his birthday this year.  Originally we were going to try to go somewhere farther away, but I had not been feeling super great and had been exhausted, so we stayed closer to home.  We went to the Yellow Springs, OH area.  It was a nice break from reality and time spent together.  Extra thanks to grandma and grandpa for watching the boys!

Dinner!
Delicious breakfast at the B&B we stayed in.  It was actually in South Charleston OH, which is a super tiny town outside Yellow Springs that I had never heard of.  The place was really nice though!
We got to do a little hiking at Clifton Gorge.

Father's Day

We had a great weekend celebrating Father's Day.  I couldn't be more thankful that the boys have such amazing father like figures in their lives.  Happy Father's Day Ben, Papaw, Grandpa and all his uncles!

He's getting pretty good with his writing.
Making daddy a homemade Reese Cup bar :)
Cookout with Papaw, who lets his boys have the most fun.
Spending the morning with just daddy so Mommy could clean the house and make dinner!
Playing in the fountains.

And the park!

On Sunday we went to Stricker's Grove, a small amusement park, for Ben's family's church's Parrish Picnic to celebrate.  Adam couldn't do too much but I'm pretty sure he rode the Merry-go-round at least 1345 times.
And the boats at least once!
Train time.
Lucas and Daddy on the Ferris Wheel
Whip It with the cousins was the best!
Happy Father's Day to the best daddy anyone could ask for.  We love you!!
