Heat Wave!

Global Warming?  Is it bad to say, I'll take it?!?! We got some crazy warm weather the week before Christmas.  We made sure to take advantage of it and take our little guy to his favorite place.... the park! Lucas loves loves loves being outside (especially with his bestest buddy Daddy!).  We had the whole play gym to ourselves!  Here's hoping that the rest of the winter isn't too brutal - maybe 1 or 2 days of snow would be nice, but other than that I'm good!

Adam - 2 Months

2 months already! This sweet little guy is growing up so fast.  It seems faster than Lucas, but I think I might be a little crazier this time around, so who knows?  Adam had his doctor appointment today (10 weeks).  He is looking perfect and has grown to 14lbs, 10oz and 24 inches long!  I guess it's easy to keep gaining weight and growing when you are still eating every 2-4 hours around the clock!  Adam is not as good of a sleeper as Lucas was.  By this point Lucas was sleeping 12 hours through the night, Adam's longest stretch was a 1 time only 6 hour stretch.  Every night I go to be thinking "this could be the night!!" but then 1AM rolls around and there is a happy, smiley, hungry, AWAKE baby calling me.  Oh well..... I'm still hanging in there.

Adam has gotten a lot more vocal and smiles all the time. I love it!  Lucas loves it too!! He is always so happy when Adam looks at him or smiles at him.  It already is the cutest thing to watch them interact!

December Fun!!

Santa Time!! As usual, we went to see Santa at the Bass Pro Shop with cousins Sarah, Josh and Samantha.  They have the coolest (FREE) set up for kids with crafts, coloring, games and of course a picture with the Big Man in red! Lucas didn't cry this year, but I think he was still a little uneasy.  Adam, who just minutes before meeting Santa had one of those awesome baby blow outs (which somehow miraculously only got his pants and not his white onesie!!!) was not as excited for Santa.  At least all of the kids had a great time :)

Waiting for daddy to get home so we could go see Santa.
 Such the little artist.

It's finally time to decorate the tree!  Whereas it is quite stressful to do this with a toddler, the happiness on his face was worth it!

Helping daddy put the star on top of the tree!
Sweet little guy with Mommy watching daddy and big brother decorate the tree!
Hanging all of the ornaments in the exact same spot - gives Mommy something to do when you go to bed!
Our good friends Mike and Katrina moved to Cincy this summer!  It has been nice to get to hang out with them a lot more.  They came to PNC Festival of Lights with us at the Cincinnati Zoo this year!  Lucas loves his Auntie Trin and Uncle Mike time :)

Poor Adam - probably should have got him out of the stroller..... mom fail.

See, I promise he was there!
Lunch date with my old co-worker Sarah and her adorable little girl Meredith.  I told her I could give Meredith 2 options for her future - one older and one younger ;)

Train time at the mall with Papaw :)  Lucas picked the coal car!

Cookie Bake time!! We might have had a slow start, but we were able to bust out 3 all from scratch Christmas cookies!! Thanks for the fun night :)

I think the chocolate all over his face means he approves!

Happy St. Nick's Day & Adam's Baptism

December 6th is always a fun day for me.  It's St. Nick's Day.  I still love getting just a little surprise together for my friends and sending it their way.  So of course I love this celebrating this day with the boys.  Lucas is at the age where he is excited about all things Christmas (he must get it from me!) and I LOVE IT.  Here are a few pics from that morning when he found his stocking with goodies from St. Nick!

St. Nick sure does know Lucas well  - he loves bananas :)

And of course he needed some new cars for our house.  He got a small motorcycle in his stocking which has been lost and found again about 1354621 times already :)  Adam was happy because he got some new paci's and Mommy and Daddy got some sweet treats!

December 6th no also has another reason to be celebrated! Adam was baptized!  Adam is lucky to have some pretty awesome Godparents - Ben's Aunt Judy and Uncle Bruce :)  We had a really great day (pretty nice and warm weather for early December).  Adam behaved so well during mass and the Baptism ceremony and then we all headed over to our house for a party to celebrate our little man.  He had lots of friends and family around him (Ben's grandparents were even able to make it from Louisville thanks to lots of driving from Ben's dad). Thank you to everyone that came over!  I wish I got more pictures with everyone, but here are a few from the big day!

He was able to wear the same outfit as Lucas!

Proud big brother!

So thankful for these guys to be there for our little man.

Who wore it better?  Lucas versus Adam on their Baptism Day! I am so lucky to have two little cuties!
