Randomly last week we decided to hit the road and venture to Augusta, Kentucky. Ben found some information about this small little town. It was about an hour drive to get there. It was a small town on the river, very simple. We ate at a hole in the wall burger joint which ended up being quite tasty (only down side is they still allowed smoking). Then right outside was a train yard where a train was changing cars, so as you can imagine Lucas was super excited. We got some icecream at the General Store. Then the best part. We got to ride across the Ohio River on a small ferry boat!! Again, toddler joy :) It wasn't a glamours night for sure, but we did make some nice memories!!
