2nd Stop in Canada

Our second stop on our Canadian adventure was up near Saguenay (which is still in the province of Quebec).  Our first night we did a little hiking and they found wild blueberries, which was a total hit!

The next day we drove to the town of Tadoussac.  It has a fjord that meets with the St. Lawrence River.  With the mixing of the fresh and salt water and the warm and arctic waters it makes the perfect home for krill.  And guess what loves krill????? WHALES! We went on a whale watching cruise and were able to see humbacks, meinkes, belugas and even a couple grey seals.  It was so awesome.  The whales didn't really jump out of the water - except once - a small meinke one did! - but you would see them blow water out of their spout and then come up for air.  We even saw a huge humpbacks tail come up as it was diving down deep.  Pictures will never be as good as the experience.  The boys had a good time.  It was chilly and windy but luckily the boat had an inside area we could go periodically and warm up :)

 They were searching!

Also - going during nap time wasn't the best idea - but it's all we had to work with.
