12 Months - We've Made It!

Well, it looks like I have blinked my eyes because my baby is officially a year old.  I know life moves so quickly, but I really thought being at home full time now that it would seem to slow down.  Needless to say, I was wrong.  

Here is our 12 month little (or not-so-little) guy!!  He is working on his 6th tooth - it is poking through, but has some more growing to do.  Based on our scientific measurements he is 21 pounds and  29 inches tall.  He still isn't sleeping through the night (UGH!!!!!) but is the sweetest baby throughout the day so he makes it really hard to stay mad at him.  I am so lucky that I was able to quit my job and stay home with the boys.  Whereas I always knew Lucas was in great hands, I still felt like I was missing out on so much of his development.  Now I get to see it all (the good, the bad and the ugly!).  Happy first birthday Adam!!! Now, lets get ready to party!

Home Depot Workshop with Daddy!

Last week Ben and Lucas went to Home Depot in the morning for their kids workshop! This week was all about fire trucks, so guess who was excited?!?!?! They got to build their own fire truck :)

Zoo

More fun at the Cincinnati Zoo!!  It was awesome weather so we went to check out some animals :)

We got there early, so Lucas watched one of the elephants get a bath.

Kings island

This past weekend we got to go to Kings Island for P&G's event day.  Lucas had been asking to go to King's Island all summer long.  He was so excited.  He remembered all of the things that he did last year and couldn't wait to do them again!

11 months

Happy 11 months to our outrageous, adventurous, climbing, into EVERYTHING, back to not sleeping, almost 5 toothed, handsome little guy! I can't believe in less than 1 month he will be 1 years old.  He won't be my baby soon as he enters into full blown toddler life :)  :(

Bonus Day of Vacation

As we were driving home from Gatlinburg we were coming up to the signs to get on the highway.  Go left for home or go right for Asheville, NC.  I joked with Ben and told him I wish we could just go to Ashevulle for the day.  His response "Why not?" So on a whim we headed that way!  We had been to Asheville a couple times before so we knew we loved the town.  For anyone who hasn't been we recommend it!  It's a cute little hippie/artsy/good local food and beer kind of town!

The city has inspired Lucas to have a new dream.  Street performer.  He even stopped to play his new flute with a guy playing the banjo on the street.  I wish I would have got that picture!  It was so cute : 

 We walked by the fire station and all the doors were open so we went to say hi.  They were super nice and let Lucas explore the truck!

Gatlinburg

We went to Gatlinburg, TN with my family a little while ago.  Here are some of the highlights.  Both boys had a blast their first time in TN :)
