One Month - Caleb

It's hard to believe it, but Caleb is ONE month old. He is doing so well :)  He's up to 10.5 pounds.  He is a very chill and happy baby who is continuously kissed by his older brothers who adore him.  He might make life slightly crazier, but we couldn't imagine it without him!

Introducing Caleb John

Well, on Saturday 9/9/17 we were back to a familiar place.   We had made the choice to schedule an induction for baby #3.  I really didn't want a huge baby and since both Lucas and Adam were 9+ lbs, I was guessing this one would be on track to that as well.

Lucas and Adam spent the weekend with grandma and grandpa and awaited the call to come to the hospital and meet their new sibling. When they arrived they immediately did a happy dance to find out that they were adding another brother to their pack.

Everyone, meet Caleb John Hale. He was born at 3:53pm and was the smallest of the Hale boys.  He weighed 9lbs 3oz and was 22 inches long!  Needless to say we are all in love with this sweet sweet guy!

Sleep: I wish there was more

Best moment this week: We got to spend a lot of good time with the boys this past weekend.  On Friday, after my doctor appointment we decided to schedule my induction for next Saturday, so we knew this was our last weekend with just the 2 boys.  We got to just hang out at home with them which was super nice :)

Food cravings: Mac n cheese.  Why can't I crave healthy stuff :(

39 Weeks

How far along? 39 weeks

Sleep: As  much as possible, which is very little it seems.  I have been super uncomfortable pretty much all the time.  And this past week Lucas has been coming into our room quite a bit to sleep with us because of bad dreams :(

Best moment this week: We were able to get a couple good maternity family pics last weekend and Ben and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary!

38 Weeks

How far along? 38 weeks

Best moment this week: I was able to get all of the boys clothes sorted.  It's so insane how many clothes in so many sizes 2 little boys can have!
Miss Anything? Nothing in particular.  Just anxious to have the baby and start to try to form life routines again....

37 Weeks - Full Term!

How far along? 37 weeks
Maternity clothes? yep yep

Sleep: As  much as possible.

Best moment this week: We had a really nice weekend with our friends in Lexington.  It was nice to squeeze in one more visit before chaos.
Miss Anything? Cold Weather - it's starting to get hot again :(  That and not feeling out of breath from walking up the stairs.......
Movement: Lots and Lots
Food cravings: I am always hungry!

 Here I am with all 3 babies at 37 weeks! It took Lucas 30 more days and Adam 35 more days to make their debut (with the help of modern medicine!)  Let's see how long baby #3 wants to keep up waiting.  Any guesses?!?!

36 Weeks - 9 Months!

How far along? 36 weeks
Maternity clothes? Counting down the days to non-maternity clothes!
Sleep: As  much as possible.

Best moment this week: The boys and I went to the zoo with my friend Sarah last weekend.  Ben stayed home and got the baby's room's baseboard all done!! So this week I was able to paint it and get the room organized(ish)! We got the hospital bags packed so I feel like we are finally in a good spot!
Miss Anything? Free time. There is never enough time in the day.
Movement: Lots and Lots
Food cravings: I am always hungry!
Belly Button in or out? Oh it's out there - which it hasn't done with the other two pregnancies :(

35 Weeks

Sleep: Whenever I can get it, which doesn't seem to be enough this week.

Best moment this week: Spending time at home with the boys. We know life is about to get crazy so it's not to get this time with the boys. Just playing in the pool/water table and spoiling them with some healthy popsicles every now and then!
Miss Anything? Free time. There is never enough time in the day.

34 Weeks

Best moment this week: We had a really nice weekend.  Ben was super productive (which is awesome!) and then we had a great family day at the zoo, the boys napped and we got to go to Ben's Aunt and Uncles for some pool time and dinner :)
Miss Anything? NOT sweating.  I pretty much just sit in front of a fan whenever I can (and yes we have our A/C on too!)
Movement: Lots and Lots
Food cravings: Anything bad for me

33 Weeks

How far along? 33 weeks
Maternity clothes? of course, pretty much a give in.
Sleep: starting to get uncomfortable again.  This heat sure isn't helping.

Best moment this week: We had a couple of really fun days at the pool swimming.  Once at Auntie K's pool and once with our cousins.  The boys had a great time.
Miss Anything? Being able to do lots of things without feeling so tired or sore.
Movement: Lots and Lots
Food cravings: ICE CREAM, but I really love ice cream all the time so I'm pretty sure being pregnant is a valid excuse to eat a ton of it.
Belly Button in or out? Oh it's out there - which it hasn't done with the other two pregnancies :(

Looking forward to: Enjoying the rest of summer.  We don't have too many plans (even though I am sure that will change).  So it will be nice to just be at home and spend time with the boys and hopefully get everything ready for baby #3!

32 and Counting

How far along? 32 weeks

Sleep: better, but I'm pretty tired all the time. 

Best moment this week: Just surviving was the best part.  It was a really rough week.  Lucas was in rare form all week and his behavior was not good at all and Adam decided to take his clothes/diaper off any chance he could get.  (Needless to say he is back to wearing onesies now!)
Miss Anything? Cold weather!!! This heat is unreal and it's just supposed to get hotter :(

30 Weeks

Best moment this week: With 4th of July coming up Ben got an extra long holiday weekend.  It was so nice for him to get to spend a lot of time with the boys plus thanks to him and his family we actually made progress on our house work for the first time in what seems like a year or so!  Also, Lucas had his last class of swim lessons for the session and he jumped (well let the life guard drop him in the water) off the diving board!  This was such a big deal for him because he has been super afraid of the diving board all summer.  So proud of my big guy!
Miss Anything? Being able to be outside for more than a minute without sweating like crazy.
Movement: Baby is a mover and a shaker and of course I think he/she moves extra when they know I am not feeling good :(
Food cravings: ICE CREAM!

29 Weeks

Best moment this week: Confirming that I passed that pesky glucose test.  I really really really didn't want take it again!

28 Weeks

How far along? 28 weeks - welcome to the 3rd Trimester!!
Maternity clothes? All the time - except for a few things I can still fit in to :)
Sleep: better, but I'm pretty tired all the time. 

Best moment this week: We have just been trying to get back to normal after a long weekend of not really sleeping and having too much fun camping.  The boys need to catch up on some rest!

Looking forward to:  Father's Day weekend is almost here.  We will see what kind of crafts the boys can come up with.  When I asked Lucas what breakfast we should make daddy on Sunday he said "well how about brunch food.  You know something like pizza and fruit!" HAHAHA I am not really sure where he got that, but who knows, maybe that's what we will have ;)  Then Lucas starts swim lessons on Monday and I know he can't wait! 

27 Weeks

How far along? 27 weeks
Maternity clothes? Pretty much all the time.
Sleep: ehhh, it is kinda a foreign concept these days.

Best moment this week: Ben came home from his trip.  It was great to have him home and the boys were definitely excited!
Miss Anything? Cooler weather! Man it’s getting hot.
Movement:yep! lots of moving around these days. 
Food cravings: Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches.
Belly Button in or out? In but getting a lot closer to out.

26 Weeks

How far along? 26 weeks

Sleep: ehhh, it is kinda a foreign concept these days.

Best moment this week: Both sets of grandparents had the boys over for a sleep over while Ben was gone.  It was nice to get some "me" time as well as a good amount of organizing done!
Miss Anything? fitting into clothes a lot better.
Movement:yep! lots of moving around these days. 
Food cravings: soft pretzels! Lucas helped me make some this week.  They turned out pretty yummy.

24 Weeks

Best moment this week: The boys spoiled me on Mother's Day by making me a necklace and a yummy cake!

21 Weeks

Oh I'm How far along? 21 weeks

Maternity clothes? Yes, I couldn't get out of it anymore.

Sleep: ehhhhh, I've given up.  I have been napping quite a bit lately though!

Best moment this week: Lucas was laying with me the other morning and got really excited because he could feel the baby :)

Miss Anything? Looking forward to cute summer clothes.

On a side note.  We had our 20 week ultrasound last Friday and from everything they could see the baby looks great!  He/She is up to 11oz. They weren't able to see parts of the brain because of the way the baby was laying so they will rescan that area next month, but the doctor thinks everything is good!
