A day with Gram and Gramps

Ben's grandparents moved from Florida to Louisville recently, which makes visiting soooo much easier!  So yesterday we went for a little day trip to visit them. We got there at lunch time so we went to one of my favorite places, Raising Canes.  All they serve is chicken fingers, crinkle fries, coleslaw and Texas toast!! Yummy!!!
Lucas loved dipping everything into the sauce, including his fingers.

Back at Gram and Gramps Lucas found that their clock chimed every 15 minutes.
Playing animals and looking at old greeting cards with Gram.
It was a little chilly, but we bundled up and took a walk around their building. There was a pond at the back to see some ducks!

High five time for Gramps!
Reading his bedtime book with Gram before we hit the road back home.

We are so happy that they are closer now and will get to know our crazy little boy!

It's A Jammie Kind Of Day

Today is a Wednsday, which means it's one of my favorite days of the week, I get to stay home with my little man today! I set up his tee-pee that my grandma made him for Christmas. It was his own personal fort!!

And no day is complete until you walk around in Mommy's shoes!

Sad Day for Colts Fans

Last weekend we watched the last Colts game of the season 😕. It's going to be a long wait to cheer for the again, in September.

This pretty much sums up how we feel about the CHEATING Patriots!

Just Like Daddy

Lucas loves doing everything his daddy does these days.  A couple months ago, Ben was hanging pictures on our wall and Lucas wanted to help.  He even went and found this plastic hammer and started hammering the walls right below where Ben was hammering.  We thought it was so cute, until we noticed he was actually leaving marks on the wall!   So for Christmas this year, along with his Tonka truck, we got him his own tool workbench!  We finally set it up yesterday!

FOOTBALL!

Well the NFL regular season has come to an end.  Lucky for me, my teams are in the playoffs!  Last week was a little rough living in Cincinnati as a Colts fan.  Lucas knows where it's at though and helped cheer the Colts to a victory!

Warm Day in January

With all of the cold weather we were having, we were super excited to have a day in the 50s!  Ben spent some time working out in the garage and then we went to the zoo in the afternoon!  Lucas loves the zoo so much, animals are his favorite thing right now. He loves to say hi and bye to all the animals that we see as well as make the right animal sound.

Since we have passes we have been quite a few times and every time the gorilla has been hiding. But he (or she, not really sure) was out and playing this weekend! So our little monkey finally got to see a gorilla and of course make the noise for it!

All Caught Up In Time For The New Year!

Now that I have blown up everyone's email, I am all caught up for 2014!  Needless to say, I have a new goal for 2015 to keep everyone up to date!

While there were no major life changes, we had one amazing year!  We were able to see lots of our family and friends.  We are blessed to get to make so many wonderful memories with everyone.  I hope that all of you are finding this well and that you all have a happy and healthy 2015!  I can't see what this year has in store for us :)

Love,
The Hales
