Front Door Painting

We decided to paint our door.  We wanted to spread some cheer and celebrate the Spring/Easter season.

Step 1: Painters tape the design for the little guys.
Step 2: Let Adam and Caleb paint the bottom of the door.

 Step 3: Let it dry
Step 4: Take off painters tape!
Step 5: Let Lucas paint the top.
He decided to draw out what he wanted to paint first, so he knew what to do :)

 All done!
Happy Easter/Spring from these cuties!

More Adventures on Spruce Hill

Another day, another mud pile :)

 Waiting on the mail man.

 Brother's slide time.

Hale Family Zoom call! Somehow we made it an hour with 24 people!

Outside living his best life in the sun. Cheers!

 Painting Easter cards

Lucas did an awesome job with his, he really took his time.

 Glow bracelets in the fort.

 Story time

Lucas decided he was going to make his own "volcanologist suit"

I let them put a bunch of temporary tattoos on.

They drew pictures of the Easter Bunny!

I'm not sure why I try to buy them cute PJs, because for the last month they insist on wearing them inside out and backward????

Our Lucas is 7!!

I'm still in denial that as of Monday, I had a 7 year old.  This guys continues to amazing me everyday.  He is always wanting to learn and does a great job helping out with his brothers.

This year he requested cinnoman rolls for his birthday breakfast.  He came up with the joke that he was having "SEVEN-man rolls" ;)
 Always peaking....
The brothers were happy to hand out presents.
He is so cute, he made his own shirt!

 brother's present.

Cake time! Lucas asked for a funfetti cake, with edible cookie dough layers in between covered in sprinkles.
Then his activity he requested was bike riding!  We put Adam on the tandem bike and he did awesome!!
Lucas is obsessed with bike riding now that he can cruise around on his 2 wheeled bike with no problems :)

Sneaky Surprisers!

The other morning the boys woke up and found a sign on our front door saying "SURPRISE!"  They looked out and there were 2 boxes! One was to open on Saturday (the day that Lucas was supposed to have his birthday party) and one was for Monday (Lucas' actual birthday).

Saturday I had three excited boys to see what they got :)

The notes was from Auntie K and TJ :)  They put together a "quarantined box" to cheer the boys up since they weren't having a party that day!!

Boy oh boy are these three lucky guys!! Thanks so much to Auntie K and TJ for making the boys feel so loved even when we can't see you!

Staying Home!

Well, here we are on week 3 of self isolation.  We are lucky that Ben is able to work from home.  It is nice to have him home all day, but it is hard to explain to the boys that he can't play and difficult to keep them quite while he is on conference calls.  But all in all we are doing well and keeping to ourselves.  I was hoping this would be over soon, but recent news looks like we will be house bound all of April as well.  Virtual Easter, anyone?

Here are some of the ways we have been hanging around.

Story time with brothers.
Lucas is learning to play solitaire!
Last week we got some warm weather! So we sent the boys out in the rain to play in the mud.  They decided to find a bucket and use the huge puddles to fill it up and make their own water slide.
Needless to say, we were thankful for showers and washing machines that day :)
For some reason I thought I was going to be able to do a video workout class with my two little helpers..... well we made it 10ish minutes.....
We've also started watching "Art for Kids Hub" on You Tube and the boys have been doing some of their drawings.  First up was a picture of the Cat in the Hat! I was super impressed that Adam sat through it and had a lot of fun.

Finished products!
Oh and Caleb made one too ;)
Who needs a Spring Break vacation? We've got kinetic sand!
