Baking and Forts and More...

Since we are all stuck home for who knows how long, I figured I should attempt to get caught up! No promises though, because I still have 3 crazy children here with me all day too :)  On a serious note, we hope you all stay healthy and stay home if you can. Let's try to get back to normal as soon as possible.  Until then, we will most likely be over here baking, making forts, working on school, and playing 1 million games of Rummy!

One weekend this winter (I can't even remember when this was) Lucas requested to make a sugar cookie cake.  I made one when we had our USA World Cup party over the summer and it was a hit.  So I gave in (because let's face it, I love cookies too) and we made one just because.
Everyone wanted to help!

It was yummy!
We went to the Art Museum back in January.
The boys had a pretty good time.
Rummy on Rummy on Rummy.....
lots and lots of fort time.
Lucas made a stick to measure all the snow he hoped that we got...

Next baking adventure..... Valentine's Day cookies!

They tested them out first!

Heart Shaped homemade pizza on Valentine's Day.  Too bad they kinda cooked into a blob.  Oh well, the boys had a lot of fun making them.

We found a really cool like that had a live stream of an eagle nest.  We watched this for days..... Sad news the eggs never hatched, but it was really cool to see the eagles in action.
Cozy little playhouse with my little guy.
Daddy took the boys to the library to make Valentine's Day crafts.

And a little bit of play time...

Random Times around the house

They were too tired to take their shoes off one day...
A lady came to our house handing out flyers for her lost dog.  Adam went and got tape to hang it up on our door to try to help find the dog.
Adam is also the biggest baby lover I know.
Lucas and Daddy working on the circuit set he got for Christmas.
Could this guy be any cuter?!?!

 Puzzle time.
I put them to work washing the window markers off of the door :)

Better Late than Never?!

Well I have been very absent this year with picture updates.  Life has been busy, but not with anything too major.

We spent New Years Day getting over some sickness and going to zoo lights with Katherine and TJ.

Lucas wasn't feeling too well, but he had a couple smiles of the night!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Day finally arrived.  The boys had been waiting and waiting and waiting.  I think these smiles will show that they were not disappointed :)

 My little Santa crew!
 Stocking time.

They had to hold everything they got at once.

 Mommy and Daddy's present......
A fort building kit for the living room :)
We were asked to carry the gifts up during Mass this year.  Let me tell you I think that was the most nervous 30 seconds in a while (luckily St. John has a very short aisle).  I was so nervous Lucas was going to spill the very heavy, very full bowl of hosts,,... but he didn't and everything was great :)
Let the fort building begin.  Ben installed hooks on the walls all around the living room so there are endless possibilities.

 Perfect place to hang out.
Christmas is so fun, but soooooo exhausting

Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas Eve from the Hales.

Ana, Sam and Adam at dinner.
13 of the sweetest cousin crew.
Auntie K made her godchildren some pretty sweet and special stockings.
Lucas and Lucy got each other in the cousin secret Santa :) I think he loved his volcano book.

Lucas picked out this Piggie and Elephant book for her :)

Ana's new pretend makeup kit was the hit of the night though!
Everyone waited for their turn :)

Cheers to 35

This year was a quiet birthday.  I went to a trampoline work out class in the AM, my brother and mom stopped by with cake and a present, we baked some cookies and had dinner at Marion's pizza.  Thanks for all the birthday wishes from everyone :)

 Dinner time!

 Lucas decorating.
 Adam helping out.
 Now, Caleb's turn.

And who could resist this cute fireman/Captain America?!?!
