Winding down on Summer

We have just a little bit of Summer left, so we are trying to make the most of it!

 Daddy went to Louisville for work/to visit Gramps, so mommy and the boys hit up The Cone!

 We mailed in our official home school paper work..... 1st grade, here we come!

Pool Days

Summer got off to a chilly start here, but luckily we were still able to take advantage of the pool a lot :)  Both boys did some swim lessons and had so much fun in the water.

 Lucas mastered jumping off the diving board and swimming to the side by himself this year!  So this is where he spent most of his time :)

Both boys passed their levels this summer.  It is amazing to see how much they have improved!

Saying Goodbye

On their last day, we were able to sneak over and say goodbye to our then Alabama, but now Washington DC cousin crew.

Canoe trip

Time for our annual canoe trip!  This year was Adam's first time going.  He was exhausted by the end of the trip but he LOVED it :) And special thanks to Carly for watching Caleb so that I could go with the boys!

Blackberry picking

One day this summer we went blackberry picking with some friends! My friend Lindsay found an organic blackberry farm pretty close to us, so off we went to pick! The boys had a blast and surprisingly did a pretty great job at not eating them while we were picking :)

Summer Fun with our cousins

In July, we got to spend a good amount of time with Matt, Carly and their kids.  The boys love getting to play with their cousins and it's always a sad day when they have to leave.
